Of all of these crazy interests and passions, my favorite, the one I can’t live without doing, is writing. Flannery O’Connor once said, “I write because I don’t know what I think until I read what I say.” I assume this sounds rather crazy if this isn’t how your brain works. But for me, nothing truer could be said about the way I think.
I’m not always the most articulate person when speaking. It’s frustrating, because I have so many thoughts, so many things to say, but for some reason, they all sound jumbled and messy when coming out of my mouth. It seems this way to me, at least.
But when I write, the words pour out of me and I am (usually) able to pinpoint exactly how I feel, and precisely what I want to say. And when I get to write about things or people I love? That’s when I feel the most fulfilled. That’s where this blog comes in. It is therapy for me, as much as it is (hopefully) entertainment for you. So sweet readers, thank you in advance for listening to my ramblings about recipes, the meaning of life, and everything in between. Let’s do this.
